DIY: Guilt free banana, peanut butter ice cream recipe by Farm to Table

Another delicious and healthy dessert post for you by Farm to Table! Seriously. No dairy. This recipe really only requires one ingredient plus two others if you want to add some flavour. Are you ready?  Frozen banana.

Ingredients:
- 3-4 bananas, sliced and frozen (slice before freezing)
- A spoonful of natural peanut butter or hazel nut spread
- 2-3 tsp. cocoa powder

Put all ingredients into a food processor (or a seriously strong blender) and serve!

DIY: Racer back work out top tutorial

Here's a super easy DIY Racer back work out top inspired by Rabbit food for my bunny teeth's cool tutorial. It took me 10 minutes to make and absolutely lovin' it! I used an old T-Shirt that I never wore. Oh, the joys of upcycling!!

Materials:

- Washed T-Shirt

- Scissors

1. Start with an old washed T-Shirt - the bigger the better.

2. Cut off the sleeves, neckline and 2" (3cm) off the bottom. (Save this as you will use it later). You can decide how you want your neckline to look and cut it accordingly.

3. Turn your shirt over and cut the back into more of a racer back.

4. Now stretch your leftover bottom cut off so it becomes one nice long piece of string. Wrap up and down the two shoulder backs until you have no left over fabric and tie into a bow.

Voila! Now go on and rock this super hot racer back top at the gym!

FREEBIE: DIY Pasta container plus printable cover

Here's a fun upcycled Pringles pasta container tutorial! Unlike other bags of pasta which you can just roll up, spaghetti packets are a bit awkward don't you think? You can solve the problem by putting the extras in a Pringles can!! To make it even easier for you all, I've made the covers/wrappers available to download - for free! 

Instructions:

1.  Use an old XXL Pringles container.

2.  Download my free printable patterns and print to fit to A4. (download links below)

3.  Fold the top and bottom of the print to fit the height of the container. (there's no need to cut as the fold gives it a cleaner finish)

4. Tape at the back.

DIY: Binder clips cable organiser

Isn't this is the most easy way to organise your cable plugs!? Found via Hardware Sphere, using simple binder clips and a tabletop with edges can help you manage your plugs!

Instructions:
1. Clip the binder clips to the tabletop’s edge
2. Release the metal handle and slip in any size plug

The only requirement that is pretty crucial is the table. If you have a table with no edge to clip on, this unfortunately won't work.

DIY: Edible spoons by She Knows

Have you ever hosted a party and wished you didn't have so many dishes to wash up? Well, check out this cool DIY edible spoons tutorial by She Knows. View their full tutorial here.

You will need: 

- Edible Spoon Making Kit — available here 
- Sliced Bread 
- Rolling Pin
- Toothpick

Flatten bread, carve out spoon shape, press into spoon mould and bake in oven! 

Now that the spoons have been made, the options are truly endless! Serve the edible spoons with your favorite dip, as a mini pizza or dip in melted chocolate and top with something yummy!

DIY: Marimekko inspired sharpie mugs

I am always obsessed with Marimekko's dinnerware but did you know you don't have to spend a lot to decorate your plain dishes? Check out what I did with my plain white mugs!

Instructions:

1. All you need is a sharpie (oil based is best) and a porcelain white mug. (Check to make sure it is oven safe as some glazes are safe for microwaving but toxic in the oven).

2. Draw what ever you like on the mug and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. (180°)

3. Cool the mugs at room temperature before washing.

Voila! For best results, hand wash these babies rather than putting it through the dishwasher.

Currently sketching a piece for the coolest charity project in Japan...

I am currently working on a wee illustration piece for the coolest charity project in Japan. I feel very humbled to be able to contribute to such an inspiring team. The TA project is a group of young Japanese professionals living in Osaka. They say they're not captain planet, neither are they perfect, but they're united with the passion of wanting to help the children in Fukushima, Japan.The idea was to come up with a design that incorporates a Peach, which is a popular delicacy in Korimachi, Fukushima (the town where the children are from). This piece will be printed on iPhone cases, T-shirts and A4 Prints. All the money raised from the sales will go towards the charity!In March 2011, Northern Japan was hit by a natural disaster catastrophe. An earthquake, tsunami, followed by a Nuclear Plant melt down. Something even unbelievable for a Hollywood script.With the Nuclear Plant melt down, radiation scare spread through Fukushima. When they heard children in Korimachi (a small town in Fukushima) were only allowed to play for an hour outside due to the risk of radiation, they knew something had to be done. Takumi Ake, got his friends to put together the TAproject. Their idea was simple; They wanted the children to have the chance to be out of the everyday stresses and have the chance to be children again.
Last year, with the help of many generous souls from around the world, the team successfully invited 12 children from Fukushima for a 4 day camp in the mountains of Osaka.

Completely in love with this DIY T-shirt flirty fringe necklace by Brit + Co.

Looks pretty easy too. Just cut the T-Shirt into 1/2 inch strips and pull to stretch, then tie onto chain! I think I'll try and make one with one of my old neon T-Shirts! Yes, I'm neon obsessed ;)

Recipe: Detox water

This magical lemon, cucumber and mint mix fused overnight creates a natural detox drink which helps flush impurities out of your system. Sitnosekano mentions that this drink even helps you maintain a flat belly! I've been on this for the last 5 days and feeling really good!

Ingredients:
1 lemon (thinly sliced)
1/2 cucumber (thinly sliced)
10 mint leaves
1 litre water

Leave in the fridge for a few hours or overnight and drink first thing in the morning before breakfast. I have around 3-4 glasses a day.

DIY: Olive oil and honey hot oil hair treatment

I try and give my hair a nice hot oil treatment once a week. I have a few different recipes but this is by far my favourite! It works wonders at restoring moisture and shine to tired, stressed and brittle hair!
You HAVE to give it a go too!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup honey

1. Heat the oil and honey in the microwave.
2. Apply to warm, damp hair and cover with a shower cap and a towel for 30 minutes.
3. Rinse with your normal shampoo.

DIY: T-shirt headband by Try to do it and Fine and Feathered

Here are two super cute DIY t-shirt headband tutorials for you. The first one is by Try it do it. Check out her blog here for step by step tutorial.

The second is by Fine and Feathered and it's my favourite. Check out her tutorial and awesome blog here.

Instructions:
1. Cut an old t-shirt 10cm wide and as long as you can. Give it a good stretch
2. Position the middle of the fabric strip at the base of your neck
3. Cross once
4. Cross twice
5. Tie ends together at the back!

Recipe: Scalloped Hasselback Potatoes by Tasty Kitchen

Such a simple yet delicious recipe idea by Tasty Kitchen. I made this for lunch today and it was to die for! For their full recipe and step by step instructions click here.

If you'd like a lighter/healthier take, try my version below:

Ingredients:
- 2 Potatoes
- 1 Tablespoons Butter
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
- ¼ cups Cheddar Cheese

1. Preheat oven to 200C° (400ºF). Scrub potatoes.
2. You need 2 wooden spoons with handles of the same width. Place a spoon on each side of the potato and start slicing the potato into thin slices. A great idea by Tasty Kitchen! The spoons stop the knife from cutting all the way through the potato.
3. Slice the butter and cheese into thin pieces. Alternate the butter and the cheese, stuffing them in between the slices of the potato. Season the potato with salt. Drizzle with olive oil.
4. Bake at 400ºF for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with cheddar cheese.
Place back in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove and serve!
